Movie Night | R&J

Ok, this is a segment I will create called "Movie Night" =) Here, I'll talk about the latest movie I've seen that has dug a little place in my heart =D So..without further ado, the movie I've chosen today iiissss...

Romeo & Juliet (2013)..!! Let me just say that this movie..oh my God. I thought it was almost perfect (I'll get to the almost later). First, the cast. WHAT IS UP WITH THIS PERFECT CAST??!! They are all smokin' hot..!! And I'm not even talking about the boys, the girls are spectacular too!! Douglas Booth is just perfect for Romeo with that boyish charm but sexy mouth, and Hailee Steinfeld was a surprise since I just saw her on Ender's Game and she fits Juliets features so well: black hair, ivory skin and an innocent face, love it. Ed Westwick was born to play the bad guy, so I thought he did pretty good with Tybalt (thought that wig with the middle part, just..ugh). Benvolio was such a nice character, I loved him right away, that kid is so cute!! And do not get me started with Mercucio...

Ehem..so.. The second thing I noticed right away was the music. The score was fantastic!!! I even watched the credits till the end just to hear more of it, and when the movie ended I immediately downloaded the whole soundtrack. Seriously, you need to listen to that soundtrack, it's remarkable.

So the thing that made this movie almost perfect...was Juliet's acting. I don't get it, apparently she was casted right away as Juliet and then they took more time finding a Romeo, but I can't understand how the director doesn't see that the girl can not act worth a damn!! When she was supposed to be unbelievably sad, she just looked like she had gas, and when she had to look so happy she could die, she was just..bleh. Don't get me started on the crying..please..no.

But all in all it's an excellent movie, very good acting from the rest of them and I loved that I could understand what was happening perfectly (something that for me didn't happen with the Leo DiCaprio version). So watch it and tell me what you think ;) See you next time.

Ok, este es un segmento que voy a crear llamado "Movie Night" =) Aquí, voy a hablar sobre la última película que he visto que se ha hecho un hogarcito en mi corazón =D Así que..sin más retraso, la película que he escogido hoy eeesssssss...

Romeo & Juliet (2013)..!! Déjame decir que esta pelí..Dios mio. Me pareció casi perfecta (después llegaré a ese casi). Primero, el elenco. QUE PASA CON ESTE ELENCO TAN PERFECTO??!! Todos están buenísimos (físicamente atractivos)..!! Y ni siquiera estoy hablando sobre los chicos, las chicas también son son hermosísimas!! Douglas Booth es simplemente perfecto para Romeo con ese encanto de niño pero esa boca sexy, y Hailee Steinfeld fue una sorpresa porque la acabo de ver en Los Juegos de Ender y le queda tan bien el papel de Julieta: cabello negro, piel súper blanca y cara inocente, me encanta. Ed Westwick nació para interpretar al chico malo, así que me pareció que Tybalt le salió bastante bien (aunque esa peluca dividida por la mitad, simplemente...no). Benvolio fue un personaje tan lindo, lo amé desde el principio, ese niño es tan cuchi!! Y no me hagas hablar de Mercucio...

Ejem..entonces.. La segunda cosa de la cual me percaté de inmediato fue la música. Las canciones son espectaculares!!! Hasta me puse a ver todos los créditos solo para escuchar más, y cuando la peli terminó me descargué el soundtrack completo. En serio, necesitas escuchar ese soundtrack, es impresionante.

Entonces la cosa que hizo que esta película fuera casi perfecta...fue la actuación de Julieta. No entiendo, aparentemente fue elegida de una vez para interpretar a Julieta y luego tardaron más tiempo para encontrar a Romeo, pero no puedo entender cómo el director no ve que la tipa no sabe actuar ni para salvarse la vida!! Cuando se suponía que ella debía estar increíblemente triste, simplemente parecía que tuviera un gas atravesado, y cuando tenía que verse tan feliz que se podría morir, solo actuaba..bleh. No me hagan hablar de cómo llora..por favor..no.

Pero en general es una película excelente, muy buena actuación de parte de los demás y me encantó que pude entender todo lo que estaba pasando (algo que no me pasó con la versión de Leo DiCaprio). Entonces vela y dime lo que piensas ;) Nos vemos luego.
